Safety routines
Arrival and pickup
A teacher is at the front door from 7:45 a.m. and again at 3:30. Only the adults on a family's pickup list may collect a student, and we ask to see ID until we know you.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a visitor badge. Visitors do not walk the halls alone.
Drills
The school practices fire drills and severe-weather drills each term, and teachers tell students what to expect before each one.
Heat and recess
In the warm months, recess moves to the shade or the gym when it is too hot, and every child has water close by.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll, and the office keeps each student's plan within reach.
Illness
A student with a fever stays home until the next morning, and the office calls a parent when a student is unwell at school.
